1. Facilitate and inspire student learning and creativity. Teachers use their knowledge of subject matter, teaching and learning, and technology to facilitate experiences that advance student learning, creativity, and innovation in both face-to-face and virtual environments.
a. Promote, support, and model creative and innovative thinking and inventiveness
b. Engage students in exploring real-world issues and solving authentic problems using digital tools and resources
c. Promote student reflection using collaborative tools to reveal and clarify students’ conceptual understanding and thinking, planning, and creative processes
d. Model collaborative knowledge construction by engaging in learning with students, colleagues, and others in face-to-face and virtual environments

1. Inquiry Project
When creating this project, my main goal was to successfully make my students think outside of the box in terms of our class material. In this project, students have the opportunity to connect the The purpose of the project was to create better innovative students by connecting the classroom to the outside world. This project is alternative approach to teaching and learning in such that it values collaboration and the actual experience rather than a written test. For example, our project's central question was, "How can we increase the percentage of healthy food and decrease the percentage of junk food in our cafeteria?" and also engaged math ideas such as look at how it fits into the school budget and the cost of getting healthy food into the school, English by writing proposals to the school about how we can change this issue, and Social Studies by looking at the area in which the school is in and the different places to buy food for the school that are near (1.c). This project challenges students to think in more critical ways about what they are learning and having to apply their knowledge to broader ideas in the classroom while also valuing that more than one answer is right. Overall, that there are many ways to think instead of just a straight-edge approach (1.a). the inquiry project fits in to the first standard of the ISTE because it values all of the primary components of this goal listed above.
2. Service Learning Project
My main purpose in the creation of my Service Learning project was to engage all types of learners to better understand the foundation of narrative writing to benefit them when writing their college essays. For them to understand the larger concept of writing (which they will be doing as a life-long skill), they need to understand the basics to writing about themselves before applying their findings to the real world. The students collaborated on Google Docs to edit peer papers and offer their feedback (1.d). The real-world application that I try to make in my lesson is how to organize thoughts when working, and then apply that to their learning in class (1.b). When they write for their jobs, or write biographies for jobs (websites), they will then have a better understanding of how to write about themselves.
3. Google Docs
Google Docs is a prime way to communicate within the classroom via internet. Students have access to the same documents and can collaborate to make projects on the same document and the ability to see what their peers are working on at the same time as they are online (1.d). These collaborative systems embody what the future of technology looks like and allows students to be able to talk online as well as in person to create a project. Google Docs allow the students to communicate and better understand technological communication and get used to collaboration through a virtual database.
2. Design and develop digital age learning experiences and assessments Teachers design, develop, and evaluate authentic learning experiences and assessments incorporating contemporary tools and resources to maximize content learning in context and to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes identified in the Standards.
a. Design or adapt relevant learning experiences that incorporate digital tools and resources to promote student learning and creativity
b. Develop technology-enriched learning environments that enable all students to pursue their individual curiosities and become active participants in setting their own educational goals, managing their own learning, and assessing their own progress
c. Customize and personalize learning activities to address students’ diverse learning styles, working strategies, and abilities using digital tools and resources
d. Provide students with multiple and varied formative and summative assessments aligned with content and technology standards, and use resulting data to inform learning and teaching

1. My Concept Map
My concept focuses very heavily on the use of digital tools in terms of creating it online as an engaging way for my students to learn. My concept map gives a straight shot for all students to follow in order to be successful when creating their thesis' (2.a). This connects to this standard because it adapts learning experiences that incorporate digital tools (in this case it was Inspiration that I used in creation of this objective), but there are many ways that this can be helpful as it gives a graphic visual of what my expectations are for a thesis statement in my class. This visual interpretation can also be contributed to Indiana standard 8.RN.2.2 which looks at the foundation of thesis statements and intends for students to "analyze the development of a central idea over the course of a text, including its relationship to supporting ideas; provide a detailed, objective summary of the text" or in other words identify the most important point that is made to make a claim which my Inspiration document does (2.c).
2. Data Collection
The Data Collection project was focused primarily on the legitimacy of Huckleberry Finn without the authentic words that may be perceived as racist in today's society. To figure out what other students thought of the removal, potential students can make a google survey to offer students a way to give their insight and then the researcher to get the feedback instantly. This survey acted as a formative assessment as students gave different perspectives of why they think it should be removed vs. why it should not be removed (2.d). Like this standard states, "Provide students with multiple and varied formative and summative assessments aligned with content and technology standards, and use resulting data to inform learning and teaching," I can better gauge how the students think based on their perspective and then design a lesson based on that.
3. EDPuzzle
EDPuzzle is an application of a not interactive activity in becoming one. EDPuzzle acts as a great way to engage the classroom by adding in questions to a video (in this case it was my Powtoon video) for me to see where they are at in terms of understanding the content in the video. It is also a great way to check to see if they are paying attention in the classroom by having them actually answer these questions at they computer. These assessments are beneficial for me to see where the students are and a way for them to self-evaluate how much they know or whether they may need extra help (2.d).

3. Model digital age work and learning Teachers exhibit knowledge, skills, and work processes representative of an innovative professional in a global and digital society.
a. Demonstrate fluency in technology systems and the transfer of current knowledge to new technologies and situations
b. Collaborate with students, peers, parents, and community members using digital tools and resources to support student success and innovation
c. Communicate relevant information and ideas effectively to students, parents, and peers using a variety of digital age media and formats
d. Model and facilitate effective use of current and emerging digital tools to locate, analyze, evaluate, and use information resources to support research and learning

1. S'more Newsletter
The Smore newsletter I made for my teacher website outlines all of the things that parents need to know before coming into my class (3.c). In regard to this standard, I prove that I am technologically up-to-date and have a set of communication that parents can use to contact me if there are any issues. This is extremely important because they can assume that I am savvy with technology and have the capacity to help their students use technology in the classroom leading to a better connection between home and school technology-wise (3.a).
2. Teacher Website
My teacher website is one of the most valuable resources for my classroom. It is crucial to the success of my students as they have access to every assignment done in class, extra copies of worksheets, and extra information about my class itself (3.a). This form of communication makes my life easier as well as my students as they have access to all of the documents and can be expected to know content even if they miss a class. For parents, this website acts as a tool to better understand what we are doing in class as well as showing some of the best work done in the classroom throughout the year. It is crucial for me to keep up with the content and making sure that everything is up-to-date to make for an effective means of communication.
3. Twitter
Twitter is very prominent in today's day and age (3.a). It is most commonly used for social purpose, but educators are very active in the Twitter community by sharing their lessons to help other teachers understand what is going to work in a classroom and what is not (3.c). To me, I will use Twitter very actively as an educator to share articles about relevant topics as well as better understanding the world I am teaching in. This page will be open to parents, students, and other educators to create an educational community using social media in a productive and useful way.

4. Promote and model digital citizenship and responsibility Teachers understand local and global societal issues and responsibilities in an evolving digital culture and exhibit legal and ethical behavior in their professional practices.
a. Advocate, model, and teach safe, legal, and ethical use of digital information and technology, including respect for copyright, intellectual property, and the appropriate documentation of sources
b. Address the diverse needs of all learners by using learner-centered strategies providing equitable access to appropriate digital tools and resources
c. Promote and model digital etiquette and responsible social interactions related to the use of technology and information
d. Develop and model cultural understanding and global awareness by engaging with colleagues and students of other cultures using digital age communication and collaboration tools

1. Technology Expectations Infographic
This infographic demonstrates my expectations of students when using technology in the classroom. Made in Piktochart, it is a very creative visual for students to look at and understand as it is more brief and to the point. It is important that they understand these guidelines as there can be serious consequences to them not following my direction (4.c). It is most important for these students to be accessing school-appropriate sites as the internet can get very shady in some parts and it is in their best interest to follow my rules for the classroom for their own safety.
2. Digital Identity Infographic
Most important to me is the portrayal that my students are making on their technology outside of the class. They need to keep in mind what consequences come at the cost of posting a picture that does not portray a good image o themselves on social media. As employers begin to look more deeply into social media as a means of gaining insight and making opinions of them, it is more important than ever that students protect their accounts and only post things that, in my infographic, I say, "Only post things your grandma would approve of" as a rule of thumb before posting (4.a). This standard is directly in line with the idea that students must model responsible action on their social media accounts.
3. Creative Commons
By putting the Creative Commons icon on my work, I have the ability to reject others' rights to my projects if they were wanting to use it. This license works as a security that no one will steal my work and that it will remain as mine (4.a). This is extremely important (considering that I have it on every document I have made in this class) because people may try to claim your work as theirs and without a protection like the Creative Commons License, they are able to do so. For the protection of my work rights, I am assured that under this protection my work will all be copyrighted to me and others will have to cite that they are using my work.

5. Engage in professional growth and leadership Teachers continuously improve their professional practice, model lifelong learning, and exhibit leadership in their school and professional community by promoting and demonstrating the effective use of digital tools and resources.
a. Participate in local and global learning communities to explore creative applications of technology to improve student learning
b. Exhibit leadership by demonstrating a vision of technology infusion, participating in shared decision making and community building, and developing the leadership and technology skills of others
c. Evaluate and reflect on current research and professional practice on a regular basis to make effective use of existing and emerging digital tools and resources in support of student learning
d. Contribute to the effectiveness, vitality, and self-renewal of the teaching profession and of their school and community

1. ePortfolio
This ePortfolio helps me keep in touch with the growing age of technology (5.a). It solidifies the idea that I am up-to-date as I show my projects that use new technology. This is a testament to my knowledge of technology and my participation in the global learning community as I share my work with other teachers. It is becoming extremely important for teachers to stay on top of the new technologies and know how to work them as student ability is exponentially growing.
2. Remind101
Remind101 is a growing network as more students gain access to mobile technology. Remind101 acts as a way to communicate effectively between teachers and students while still being professional. It also allows students to collaborate and be reminded of the things that hey may have forgotten about via instant communication (5.c). These apps that work in favor of the students and help them become more successful can change our educational world, and these new technology where students can collaborate with their teachers can enhance the productivity and respect in the classroom.
3. Storify
Storify is a social network that lets educators compile useful sources into a timeline for their use as well as for sharing purposes. In my Storify, I created a line of sources linked to any Secondary English Teacher Management techniques. The ability to participate and contribute to the larger educational community. This PLN (Personal Learning Network) is a very effective way in connecting with students as well as other educators. PLN such as Storify allow teachers to share valuable resources that can further students learning as well as others that follow the same hashtags and ideas. The ability to access these timelines pertaining to the work that is being done in my class is very helpful and valuable to me and my growth as a teacher by gaining insight to other educators' thoughts (5.d).
